Preparing For Your QHHT Session
The most important question you can bring to a QHHT session is simple. What is my purpose?
Every other question circles back to it eventually. Love, health, career, the strange dream you cannot shake. Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique exists to help you ask your Higher Self directly. In a state deep enough, the answers come from somewhere wiser than your everyday thinking mind.
If you are preparing for your first QHHT style session, or returning for a deeper one, your questions matter. Not because there is a wrong way to do this. A thoughtful question list helps your Higher Self know exactly where to focus during the hours we have together.
What QHHT Actually Is
Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique is a hypnosis modality. Dolores Cannon developed it over four decades of work with thousands of clients. It guides you into a theta brainwave state, the same restful, drifting state you pass through right before sleep, but held steady long enough for you to explore it.
From this state, most people access what QHHT practitioners call the Higher Self. Some call it the subconscious, the oversoul, or simply the wisest part of you. Whatever name fits your own beliefs, it already knows your patterns and your blocks. Often it knows the deeper why behind what is happening in your life right now.
A full QHHT style session typically runs three to five hours, but I always allow for as much time as we need. That sounds long until you understand what actually happens inside that window.
The Session Is Built Around You,
Long Before the Hypnosis Begins
Here is something most guides to QHHT preparation leave out. The work does not start when you close your eyes. It starts the moment we sit together for the interview portion, usually an hour, sometimes longer depending on what we need to discuss.
This is where I get to know you. Not just your question list, but the actual texture of your life. We talk through the major themes you are living right now: the people who matter most to you, the ones who confuse you, the ones who shaped you in ways you are still untangling. We talk about your health history, your career, and the relationship patterns that keep showing up wearing different faces. I listen for the threads that connect to each other, the ones you might not notice until someone else holds the whole picture alongside you.
Your prepared questions are a starting point, not a script set in stone. New questions often surface as we talk, ones you would never have thought to write down at home. Maybe you mention your mother almost as an aside, and something in how you say it tells me there is more there. Maybe a health issue you list briefly turns out to have roots in a pattern we uncover together during the interview. Those become questions too, added to your list and sharpened before we ever reach the hypnosis itself.
By the time we begin the induction, your question list is not the one you wrote alone in your kitchen the week before. We built it together, drawing on a real conversation about your actual life. That is the level of care a three to five hour session deserves. We tailor every minute to you specifically, because no two people walk in with the same story.
Setting Your Intention First
Before you write a single question, sit with what you actually want from this experience. Not what you think you should want. What you actually want.
Maybe a relationship keeps falling apart in the same shape every time. Perhaps a health issue has resisted every explanation a doctor has offered. Or maybe something in you has quietly been asking what the point of all this is, longer than you have admitted out loud.
Write your intention down in one or two sentences. You do not need to bring this exact wording into the session, but the clarity helps. A river moves with more force through a narrow channel than across an open field. Focus creates momentum, and your Higher Self responds well to a session that already knows where it wants to go.
How to Actually Write Good QHHT Questions
The questions that work best in a QHHT style session share a few qualities.
Start with what, why, and how, not yes or no. A question like “Will I find love” tends to produce a thin answer, because it asks for a verdict rather than understanding. “What is blocking me from finding the kind of partnership I want” opens a door instead of asking for a coin flip.
Be specific rather than general. “Why is my life hard” is too wide a question for even your Higher Self to land on cleanly. “Why do I keep choosing jobs that drain me even when I know better” gives your subconscious something precise to work with. Precise questions tend to produce precise, useful answers.
Bring the real question, not the one that sounds spiritual enough. This is the one piece of advice I would underline if I could. People sometimes arrive with a polished list of questions about soul missions and karmic contracts. Meanwhile the question that actually keeps them up at night stays unwritten. It is blunt, unglamorous, deeply human, and it feels too small or too raw to bring to something this sacred. Your Higher Self does not rank questions by how spiritual they sound. It responds with the same depth to “why can’t I keep a job” as it does to “what is my soul’s purpose.” Bring the real one.
Order your list by priority. Life purpose questions typically come first in a session. Personal and relationship questions follow, in order of importance to you, since there is always more curiosity than there is time. Fifteen to twenty questions is a common range for a full session. The conversation we have in the interview often shapes exactly how many make it onto your final list.
A Note on the Difference Between Asking and Fortune Telling
There is a meaningful difference between a question that invites guidance and one that asks your Higher Self to hand you a fixed outcome. Learning to tell them apart changes the quality of what you receive.
“When will I meet my soulmate” asks for a date on a calendar. It treats your future like a fixed script, already written and waiting to be read aloud to you. “What do I need to work on within myself to be ready for the kind of partnership I want” asks something far more useful. It hands you something to actually do.
The same shift works across nearly every category of question.
Instead of “Will I get pregnant,” try “What do I need to shift in my health, my body, or my mindset to support a pregnancy, and what is a supportive timeframe to begin trying.”
Instead of “Will this relationship work out,” try “What is the purpose of this relationship in my life, and what am I meant to learn from it.”
This framing matters because Dolores Cannon built QHHT to support your agency, not replace it. The Higher Self offers guidance, not a script you are powerless to change. Your future is not a fixed point you are waiting to discover. It is closer to a river with many possible paths, one that your choices and awareness shape as you go. The most useful questions hand you a map. They do not ask someone else to walk the path for you.
Where to Go From Here
Once you have your intention set and a working draft of your questions, you are most of the way prepared. The themes that come up most often in QHHT style sessions tend to fall into a few categories. Over the coming weeks I will write a full guide to each one.
If your questions circle around career, purpose, and what you are actually here to do, start with Discovering Your Life Purpose Through QHHT for a much deeper list to draw from.
If a health issue has resisted explanation, What Your Higher Self Knows About Your Health goes into the kinds of questions that tend to open real insight there.
Karmic Relationships and Soul Contracts covers exactly that, if love, family, or a painful pattern keeps repeating across your relationships.
If your curiosity runs toward the more mystical corners of this work, spirit guides, recurring numbers, dreams that feel like memories, Starseeds, Spirit Guides, and Synchronicities is where that lives.
Wherever your questions take you, bring the real ones. Write them down. By the time you are settled into your session, the list in front of you will be more complete, more honest, and more truly yours than anything you could have written alone.
Ready to Prepare Your Own Question List?
When we have a session together, we spend the first part of our time going through your life themes, your history, and your questions before we ever begin the hypnosis itself. By the time you close your eyes, you are working from a list built specifically for you.
If you have questions before booking, email me directly. I am happy to talk through what a QHHT style session with you might look like.
